Yong Zhu, Ph.D.

Yong Zhu is a professor in the Departments of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, and Materials Science and Engineering at North Carolina State University. He received his B.S. in mechanics and mechanical engineering from the University of Science and Technology of China in 1999, and his M.S. and Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from Northwestern University in 2001 and 2005, respectively. Zhu’s research interests include mechanics of nanomaterials, micro/nano-electromechanical systems, and flexible/stretchable electronics.
