Integrated Public Alert and Warning System (IPAWS) Division, Engineering IPAWS Lab Manager and Subject Matter Expert National Continuity Programs Office DHS/FEMA
Jody has served as an IPAWS Engineering Subject Matter Expert and the IPAWS Technical Support Services Facility Manager for several years. She has been an instrumental component in the development and growth of the Laboratory into a 24/7 technical support resource to Federal, State, Local, Tribal and Territorial alerting authorities. In addition, Jody serves as an IPAWS subject matter expert with alert and warning initiatives, briefings, and exercise support.
Jody travels the country in support of IPAWS initiatives and engagements, particularly working closely with FEMA’s National Exercise Division, National Integration Center, Emergency Management Institute (EMI) and specialized engagements at the request of IPAWS Users. Her primary focus is to assist IPAWS Users with IPAWS proficiency and implementation into current alert and warning practices. Jody holds a Master’s of Science degree in Business Management with a specialization in emergency management and is a certified Project Management Professional.
