Gerald Matthews is a research professor at the UCF Institute for Simulation and Training. He received his Ph.D. in experimental psychology from the University of Cambridge in 1984. He is an associate editor for Human Factors and Personality and Individual Differences. He is also an International Association for Applied Psychology (IAAP) Fellow and a past president of the International Society for the Study of Individual Differences (ISSID). His research interests include human factors engineering for cybersecurity, the neuroergonomics of stress, workload and fatigue, and individual differences in cognition and emotion.
