Dr. Eugene Sevin is an independent consultant on nuclear and conventional weapons effects, hardened facility design and computational structural mechanics. He has been on the faculties of the Illinois Institute of Technology and the Technion, Israel Institute of Technology. Dr. Sevin is a consultant to the Defense Threat Reduction Agency as a member of the TASC A&AS team under subcontract to TASC, on matters related to hardened targets, blast mitigation, high performance computing in structural mechanics and preservation of DTRA’s nuclear test database. He also is a consultant to the Institute for Defense Analysis. He was principal author of DTRA’s two-volume report on Improved Ground Shock Vulnerability Number, and was co-chair of the steering committee for DTRA’s Ground Shock in Faulted Media Workshop held in January 2010.
