Erika “Ann” Jeschke, Ph.D., has engaged in collaborative research funded by the U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory, the Army Institute for Surgical Research, Navy Medical Research Unit, and the Tri-Service Nursing Research Program. Her program of research focuses on developing a culturally salient theory of performance for trauma medicine that is framed by holistic attributes of well-being and caring amidst violence. Dr. Jeschke has also served as a bioethics consultant to Special Operations Medicine, Prolonged Field Care Working Group; Joint Trauma System (JTS) Austere Surgical Resuscitation Curriculum Development Working Group; and the JTS Expectant Casualty Care Working Group.
