C. David Chaffee is a science and technology writer with a concentration in photonics and optics. He has contributed to Presidential Science Board reports, written speeches for U.S. Congressmen, written two best-selling books on fiber optics and was selected as a paid graduate intern to the National Institute of Standards and Technology as part of receiving his master's in science writing from the University of Maryland at College Park. Chaffee has authored more than 25 market research reports exploring technology markets for Laurin Publishing, CIR and other publishing houses. He has written extensively for numerous global, national and trade publications including Science, Nature and the Air Force magazines, and has served as Washington Editor for Photonics Spectra. For the past 20 years, Chaffee has written a daily independent subscriber-based business and technology report on fiber optics.
