This webinar will discuss the range of vulnerabilities to the United States stemming from the growing activities of the People’s Republic of China (PRC), its companies, military, security agencies, and other agents in the Western Hemisphere in peacetime and in the context of a possible future military conflict with the PRC. We will focus on the activities of PRC companies in telecommunications and electricity infrastructure, surveillance systems and safe/smart cities projects, ports and customs scanners, Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition systems, banking and e-commerce, maritime and air logistics in the region, and space. We will also discuss vulnerabilities stemming from Chinese “people-to-people” networks, PRC “police stations,” Chinese organized crime, and communities in and migration through the region to stimulate awareness of and discourse between those across the U.S. government with technical knowledge regarding such threats, leveraging decisionmakers insights and support.
