William van der Schalie has an Oak Ridge Institute for Science Education Research Participation Program appointment at USACEHR (Ph.D., Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University). He is interested in the application of toxicity sensors for chemical detection and has assisted with the research and development process for the U.S. Army’s Environmental Sentinel Biomonitor System.
