CALL FOR JOURNAL ABSTRACTS

We are accepting abstracts for the upcoming HDIAC Journal, Vol. 9, No. 1. This journal features exclusive, publicly releasable articles on new and emerging science, engineering, and technology within the homeland defense and security community. The deadline for abstract submissions is September 6, 2024. Contributors will be notified if their submission is selected for publication by September 20, 2024. Selected articles will be due December 13, 2024, to ensure a March 2025 publication date.

Senior Neuroscientist Tech Fellow, Leidos Inc.

Dr. Weimin Zheng is a system and computational neuroscientist contracted to work at the Naval Health Research Center’s Warfighter Performance Department. He has spent his career studying how the brain works, how the brain adapts to changing environments, and why the brain malfunctions in mental disorders. His focus has been on mild traumatic brain injuries and post-traumatic stress disorder in service members, aiming at enhancing Warfighters’ cognitive performance in theaters and rehabbing mental disorders of wounded warriors.
