TRAUMATIC BRAIN INJURY CENTER OF EXCELLENCE (TBICOE)

A component of the Military Health System, TBICoE provides clinical tools, patient resources, training, and research information for assessing and managing traumatic brain injuries.

One TBICoE area of focus is low-level blast exposure. A low-level blast is generated from firing heavy weapons systems or explosives in training environments or combat. Exposure symptoms may include headaches, difficulty hearing and concentrating, memory problems, slow reaction times, and decreased hand-eye coordination.

Click here to download the TBICoE Low-Level Blast Exposure fact sheet and learn how to treat and manage this condition for optimal Warfighter brain health.
