CBRN RESPIRATORY PROTECTION HANDBOOK, REVISED MAY 2025

Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) Respiratory Protection Handbook, Revised May 2025​

The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) released the revised “Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) Respiratory Protection Handbook,” which updates the original publication no. 2018-166.

This handbook reflects new and emerging chemical and radiological hazards information identified during a recent hazard assessment conducted by NIOSH, the Department of Homeland Security, and the U.S. Department of Defense.

Nicole Bennett is a research inquiry analyst for DSIAC, focusing on conducting research primarily in DSIAC’s 10 technical focus areas and generating reports for the DoD community. She also conducts research for the Homeland Defense and Security Information Analysis Center. With a background in security and terrorism studies, she has researched topics on biometrics, critical infrastructure, unmanned/counter-unmanned aerial systems, medical systems, and weapons systems.
