2025 Public Health in a Migrant Crisis Tabletop Exercise
The Homeland Defense and Security Information Analysis Center (HDIAC) is proud to host the 2025 Public Health in a Migrant Crisis Tabletop Exercise during the week of May 5, 2025 in Dumfries, VA. This year’s exercise will focus on operations in camps designed for refugees, internally displaced persons, and other people in need of international protection.  We are looking for presentations on new and novel research that can positively impact public health management in these scenarios. The audience will be health care professionals, emergency management personnel, and researchers from government, academia, and nongovernmental organizations. Additionally, public information officers and civil affairs and logistics personnel may attend.
HDIAC will accept abstracts for presentations through February 28, 2025. Submitters will receive an answer no later than March 10, 2025. Please complete the form below and email training@hdiac.org for any questions. Final presentations must be submitted to HDIAC by April 25, 2025. Presentations can be given virtual or in-person. Suitable presentations will be uploaded to the Defense Technical Information Center (DTIC) Research and Engineering Gateway to ensure knowledge reuse by the U.S. Department of Defense’s scientific and technical community.
