Dr. Khodaei’s lab (“KLab”) focuses on designing, planning, and operating the future’s electric grid. As the world experiences a growing penetration of distributed energy resources and an urgent need to shift toward sustainable generation, his lab focuses on harnessing the potential of microgrids, quantum computing, and artificial intelligence to transform legacy electric grids into more
reliable, resilient, cost-effective, and green grids. By researching and architecting innovative models, they explore how emerging technologies can be leveraged to achieve this goal.
