Dr. Ted Krauthammer

Director, Center for Infrastructure Protection and Physical Security (CIPPS)

Dr. Krauthammer is a civil engineering professor at the University of Florida and director of its Center for infrastructure Protection and Physical Security. His main research areas include structural behavior under severe dynamic loads and survivability and fragility aspects of facilities subjected to blast, shock impact, and severe vibrations. He has specialized in the nonlinear behavior of structures under impulsive loads and developed numerical simulations and testing techniques for enhancing structural performance, physical security, and safety of buildings, facilities, and systems.
