Physical Scientist

Defense Threat Reduction Agency Dr. Grose is a physical scientist at the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) in Fort Belvoir, VA, and the contracting officer’s representative
for the Technical Reachback contract. This contract is comprised of chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, and high explosive-trained contractors working 24/7/365 to perform hazard prediction modeling in support of U.S. Department of Defense, government, and state/
local/territorial/tribal customers. Andy is DTRA’s primary representative to the Federal Emergency Management Agency-led Interagency Modeling and Atmospheric Assessment Center (IMAAC) and leads DTRA’s effort as the IMAAC Technical Operations Hub. He is also DTRA’s primary point of contact to the Secret Service-led, Multi-Agency Coordination Center during National Special Security Events in the National Capital Region.
